What is Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine?

It all begins with an idea.

Ayurveda Medicine is a natural system of health originating from India, it is called the Mother of all Medicines as it is over five thousand years old and is said to be the original medicine that many systems of health were based from. It was gifted to humanity for the evolution of consciousness.

The foundation of Ayurveda is balance, maintenance of health and the prevention of disease. It is about aligning with nature, the natural environment and aligning with our dharma- or our path.

Chinese Medicine is also a complete system of health. Utilising herbs, acupuncture, diet and lifestyle and spiritual practices of Qi Gong and Tai Qi.

Both of these medicine’s are aligned with aligning with nature- utilising circadian medicine- Chinese Medicine attuning to the yin and yang times of the day and Ayurveda follows the doshic times of the day. Both Medicines aim to increase the life force- Prana or Qi.

Both medicines are complete and holistic and take into account the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects. They treat the cause of the problem and utilise practices and modalities to bring back into balance.

Esoteric Acupuncture

It all begins with an idea.

Esoteric Acupuncture is the needling practice of sacred geometrical patternings along the meridians of the body. The points are selected and placed in precise sequence creating geometrical patterns that are based on the Ayurvedic chakra system.

Esoteric is the inner or secret meaning- it is accessed through a deep internal journey. Esoteric Acupuncture assists in aligning you with your true nature and gives you access to the deeper inner realms.

Esoteric acupuncture allows us to come into contact with the non-physical aspects of ourselves to access the ancestral wisdom, the ascended masters and the knowing behind the veil.

Radiance: Ojas, Sadhana and Compassion

It all begins with an idea.

Radiance is the super fine essence that we feel more than we see. One who is radiant is instantly recognised and attractive- their presence lights up a room. What is this magic and how can we cultivate it?

Ojas is the subtle energy of consciousness- it is the radiance that is gained through a Sattvic diet- a diet that nourishes consciousness. Ojas is created after thirty days when the ‘ahara rasa’ has nourished all of the seven tissues- plasma, blood, muscle, fat, bone, marrow and reproductive tissue.

Ojas is the super fine essence of Kapha energy- supportive, compassionate and the container for consciousness. Ojas is the immunity and gives the ability to be adaptable, sustain change and enables endless energy. Ojas is developed through rest, balance and rejuvenation- Rasayana is the Sanskrit word that means deep rejuvenation and cultivated through inner balance and peace.

How to cultivate Ojas:

  1. Sattvic diet- high Prana foods - the higher the Prana the greater effect the food will have on your vital life force.

  2. Agni- this is your digestive fire- if your digestive fire is strong and balanced you will be free from disease- correct digestion is the first step in creating ojas. Ahara Rasa is the superfine essence created after food is digested and this essence is what feeds the seven tissues. If digestion is compromised ahara rasa is not produced.

  3. Sadhana- this is your spiritual practice. Meditation, Mindfulness, Yoga, Tai Qi, Qi Gong whatever brings you into the divine. Developing a spiritual practice cultivates Ojas and invites in balance and inner peace.

  4. Compassion- self love is the development of compassionate loving attention to self. It is about creating healthy boundaries and welcoming yourself with a gentle loving heart. It is self forgiveness and taking acre of oneself in all aspect of life- the physical, emotional, mental and psychic. It is about awareness and focused attention on where you are applying your Prana and understanding that wherever we place our attention is where it will grow.
